Tender Activity Support Peas
VANCOUVER - Apr 22/11 - SNS -- North American field pea markets continue to be supported by strong export movement on ongoing tender activity from India and the U.S. government.
The week saw the USDA tender for 17,460 metric tons (MT) of yellow split peas for movement from origin processing plants in June.
Canadian markets were helped by another tender for an Indian state trading company or 25,000 MT of peas for shipment in May.
The best offers on last week's tender for a similar quantity of Canadian whole yellow peas for bulk conventional shipment in May came in at U.S. $412.22 MT CIF Mumbai and $416.22 CIF Vizag.
