Quiet Week In Edible BeansVANCOUVER - Apr 22/11 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading little changed under relatively quiet trading conditions. Many markets were closed by the end of the week for Easter celebrations. This is an especially important event in many Latin American markets, with some countries effectively closed during the past week. Many market participants were also getting ready to travel to Spain for this year's CICILS conference in Barcelona. The absence of significant trading interest was reflected in the spot market index for dry edible beans in the United States, which rose two points on the week to finish at 1231. Meanwhile, the index for grower bids was up one point at 1089. Subscribers can read the full text of the article by Clicking here
