French Pea Exports Improve in February
VANCOUVER - Apr 11/11 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France picked up in February against strong regional demand for peas for use in livestock feed, judging from the latest data available from the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Exports during February totalled 24,745 metric tons (MT), up from the 17,635 MT shipped in January and up from the 13,470 MT of field peas exported the same month the previous year.
This lifts field pea exports so far during the 2010-11 marketing year to 235,030 MT, versus 121,945 MT last season.
