French Pea Movement Eased in December
VANCOUVER - Feb 8/11 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France eased in December, ending a lengthy run of posting increases in export volume versus year earlier levels, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Exports during December totalled 15,335 metric tons (MT), down from the 31,505 MT shipped in November and down from the 16,280 MT of field peas exported the same month the previous year.
This lifts field pea exports so far during the 2010-11 marketing year to 192,870 MT, versus 98,780 MT last season.
