Beans Maintain Firm Footing
VANCOUVER - Jan 29/11 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets maintained their firm footing in relatively light trading conditions during the past week, partly helped by news seeded area in South Africa will be down over last year.
The underlying firmness of markets was reflected in the spot market index from dry edible beans in the United States, which rose 20 points on the week to finish at 1025.
Improved inter-dealer markets were reflected in growers bids in the United States, with the index for grower bids gaining 7 points to finish at 931.
