U.S. Wrinkled Seed Pea Production Shrivels
WASHINGTON - Jan 12/11 - SNS -- Wrinkled seed pea production in the U.S. is estimated at 580,000 cwt (100 pound units) in 2010, down 34% from 2009, according to the USDA's final crop production estimates for the 2010 crop.
Idaho production, at 190,000 cwt, is up 6% from 2009. Production in Washington, at 390,000 cwt, decreased 44% from last year.
