Mixed Week For World's Edible Beans

VANCOUVER - Nov 20/10 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week on a somewhat mixed tone, with colored beans showing a easing tone.

This was reflected in the spot market index from dry edible beans in the United States, which slipped up one points on the week to finish at 927. By contrast, the index for grower bids in the United States was unchanged at 827.

Asking prices for Argentine black beans continued their recent slide in the face of competition from China and weaker than expected demand from Brazil.
