No Worries About Slowing Pea Movement
VANCOUVER - Nov 20/10 - SNS -- North American field pea markets managed another firm finish despite a noticeable slow down in export movement in Canada and the United States.
U.S. yellow pea markets were helped by recent tenders for product for quick movement from origin to U.S. Gulf ports.
During the week the USDA bought 1,530 metric tons (MT) of yellow split peas, including 1,080 MT for shipment to Pakistan by the end of December.
