Demand Supports Peas
VANCOUVER - Nov 7/10 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished the week on a firm note against split pea purchases by the USDA for shipment as food aid, and ongoing movement of Canadian peas to Vancouver for bulk export.
European markets also finished the week's trading on a strong note in sympathy with strong feed ingredient markets.
Those are expected to remain firm through the winter as markets work hard to push corn values to levels which will ensure an expansion in seeded area in the United States next spring.
