Edible Beans Lose Consistency

Vancouver - Mar 27/10 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week little changed in limited trading interest, with values reported for some commodities losing consistency as companies push out old crop inventory.

This combination of factors helped the spot market index for U.S. origin beans finish up 6 points on the week at 1150 points; while the spot grower bid index was down 14 points at 1041.

The issue is clearest in Argentina, where seeding of this year's white alubia bean crop is virtually complete.
