DES MOINES - Sep 9/09 - SNS -- Bi-weekly USDA report on organic grain and feedstuffs prices in the U.S. upper midwest.
Upper Midwest Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly) Weighted Average Report for the Week Ending 09/05/09 Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were mixed with light demand and offerings and slow market activity. Corn prices were lower, while wheat prices were higher. Oat prices were steady. New crop corn is being priced from $5.50 to $6.50 per bushel. Alfalfa prices were stronger this period from $.90 to $1.00 per point. Monthly and second quarter average prices located below. All prices FOB the farm and negotiated spot market.
