Australia's Broadbean Exports Reveal Slow Performance

PANAMA - Jul 4/24 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year recorded a weaker performance, with broadbean export shipments from Australia were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in May, judging from the most recent statistics from Australia Bureau of Statistics.

Shipments during the month totalled 40,461 metric tons (MT), down from 65,548 MT the prior month. This lifted shipments so far during the marketing year to 370,967, up 5% last year.

The top consumer during the month was Egypt, receiving 28,564 MT. Saudi Arabia was the second most important importer taking 4,373 MT, followed by Vietnam at 1,439 MT.
