WASHINGTON - Jun 28/24- SNS -- Sorghum growers planted 6.41 million acres for all purposes this year, down 11% from last year, according to the USDA's seeded area estimates for 2024.
Kansas and Texas, the leading sorghum- producing States, account for 75% of the United States acreage. Growers expect to harvest 5.39 million acres for grain, down 12% from last year.
