PANAMA - May 24/24 - SNS -- Markets for chickpeas maintained their recent firm tone during the past week.
Kabuli markets were helped by doubts about India's export potential for that class at a time when it appears to be struggling to meet domestic needs for both chickpeas and other pulses from local harvests.
Current price activity for chickpeas on India's domestic market underscores thoughts among some market participants that its 2023-24 pulse production estimates are optimistic.
