Birdseeds Manage Firmer Close
PANAMA - May 24/24 - SNS - North American birdseed ingredient markets managed a somewhat firmer finish in relatively light trading conditions.
Concern over production prospects in the United States continued to add some underlying support to sunflower seed markets and to a limited extent, millet.
Progress seeding Canaryseed, sunflower and millet was reported as the week got underway, with farmers in some regions taking advantage of improved soil moisture conditions and recent sunny conditions to push hard during the past week.
