Field Pea Imports By Spain Record Easy Month
PANAMA - May 21/24 - SNS -- Spain's imports of field peas in March posted massive declines, sinking versus the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.
Imports for the month totalled 955 metric tons (MT), down from 49,251 MT the previous month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 83,449, up 247% last year.
During the month, France was the largest export origin, shipping 780 MT. Canada was the second most important supplier shipping 68 MT, followed by United States at 59 MT.
