Field Pea Imports By Italy Record Slow Performance
PANAMA - Feb 15/24 - SNS -- Italy's imports of field peas during December were well down, plunging versus the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.
Total imports throughout the month reached 21,646 metric tons (MT), down 41% from the previous month's total of 36,767. So far imports have amounted to 208,908 MT, up from 157,418 in the same period the last calendar year.
In the month, Russia was the biggest exporter, shipping 19,687 MT. Ukraine was the second most important exporter shipping 1,523 MT, followed by Canada at 347 MT.
