Birdseeds Tone Remains Mixed
PANAMA - Feb 2/24 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets maintained their mixed tone during the past week.
Canadian canaryseed and U.S. white proso millet were unchanged on the week, while sunflower markets continued to ease, partly in sympathy with recent weakness in oilseed markets.
Commenting on the situation, the U.S. based National Sunflower Association said "nearby old crop prices followed the downward trend in oilseed complex prices and ended the week 40 cents to $1.00 lower at the crush plants. 2024 new crop prices for high oleics were down 25 cents to unchanged."
