Sunflower Seed Imports By Turkey Reveal Easy Month

PANAMA - Jan 30/24 - SNS -- Imports of sunflower seeds by Turkey dropped compared to the previous month in November, trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.

Imports for the month reached 13,129 metric tons (MT), down from 14,024 MT the prior month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 714,531, up 4% last year.

Current movement data revealed Russia was most important origin, shipping 6,273 MT in the month. Ukraine was the second most important supplier supplying 5,685 MT, followed by Uzbekistan at 491 MT.
