Turkey's Green Lentil Imports Sustain Firm Trend
PANAMA - Nov 28/23 - SNS -- So far during the calendar year continued a stronger tone, with green lentil imports by Turkey showed a firm trend, rising relative to the previous month in September, according to statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Imports reached 11,241 metric tons (MT) for the month, up from the 1,688 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 57,462 MT, compared to 22,402 in the same period the last calendar year.
Russia was the number one exporter, shipping 7,161 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important exporter selling 4,080 MT.
