Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Maintain Strong Tone
PANAMA - Nov 28/23 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year are maintaining their stronger tone, with sunflower seed imports for Turkey rocketed compared to the previous month in September, according to the latest statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total imports for the month amounted to 32,918 metric tons (MT), up 407% from the previous month's total of 6,498. So far imports have reached 687,379 MT, up from 553,544 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Romania was the largest exporter, shipping 19,242 MT. Ukraine was the second most important supplier shipping 11,048 MT, followed by China at 1,320 MT.
