Field Pea Imports By Italy Maintain Firm Performance
PANAMA - Sep 16/23 - SNS -- Imports of field peas for Italy recorded solid advances, moving upward relative to the previous month in July, the most recent data from Eurostat shows.
Imports for the month totalled 17,554 metric tons (MT), up from 12,444 MT the previous month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 90,726, up 12% last year.
Current trade data showed Russia was top origin, selling 16,955 MT during the month. Ukraine was the second most important export origin selling 496 MT, followed by Canada at 73 MT.
