Field Pea Imports By Spain Open With Strong Tone
PANAMA - May 16/23 - SNS -- Spain's imports of field peas in March recorded massive improvement, jumping versus the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.
Imports for the month totalled 14,851 metric tons (MT), up from 4,342 MT the prior month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 24,076, up 231% last year.
The most recent trade statistics revealed Russia was biggest origin, shipping 13,146 MT. France was the second most important origin supplying 1,445 MT, followed by Canada at 165 MT.
