Confection Sunflower Imports By Germany Start With Soft Note
PANAMA - May 16/23 - SNS -- Imports of confection sunflowers for Germany fell sharply versus the previous month in March, recent data from Eurostat reveals.
Total imports throughout the month reached 1,167 metric tons (MT), down 93% from the previous month's total of 17,196. So far imports have amounted to 36,177 MT, down from 67,365 in the same period the previous calendar year.
For the month, China was the number one exporter, selling 736 MT. Moldova was the second most important export origin selling 310 MT, followed by Argentina at 62 MT.
