Chickpea Exports From Canada Post Easy Opening
PANAMA - May 4/23 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year recordeda weaker month, with chickpea shipments for Canada dropped compared to the previous month in March, judging from the latest data from Statistics Canada.
Total shipments in the month reached 25,059 metric tons (MT), down 11% from the previous month's total of 28,106. So far movement has amounted to 166,951 MT, up from 83,691 in the same period the last marketing year.
United States was the top importer, buying 7,995 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination buying 5,975 MT, followed by Italy at 2,039 MT.
