WASHINGTON - Dec 31/23 - SNS -- Area expected to be planted to sugarbeets for the 2023 crop year is estimated at 1.11 million acres, down 4% from 2022, according to the USDA's seeding intentions estimates.
Intended acreages are expected to be the lowest since 2008. Record low planted area is expected in Montana.
