WASHINGTON - Dec 31/23 - SNS -- U.S. growers intend to plant 1.55 million acres of peanuts in 2023, up 7% from 2022, according to the USDA's seeding intentions estimates.
Planted acreage is expected to be up or unchanged across peanut- producing States with the exception of New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. In Georgia, the largest peanut-producing State, expected planted area is up 8% from 2022.
