Turkey's Lentil Imports Open On Soft Tone

PANAMA - Mar 28/23 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of lentils during January fell compared to the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

The most recent data showed imports during the month totalled 38,094 metric tons (MT), down 22% from 49,004 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, imports are down 25% from 51,006 MT.

The largest exporter during the month was Canada, supplying 18,981 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important export origin selling 11,749 MT, followed by Russia at 7,104 MT.
