Sunflower Seed Imports By Turkey Post Easy Opening
PANAMA - Mar 28/23 - SNS -- Imports of sunflower seeds by Turkey dropped compared to the previous month in January, official data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) shows.
Imports for the opening month of the calendar year totalled 116,166 metric tons (MT), down 17% from 140,049 MT the previous month. The statistics revealed imports is up 626% from the 15,999 MT reported in the same month last year.
The most important shipper during the month was Ukraine, shipping 90,471 MT. Romania was the second most important shipper shipping 14,427 MT, followed by Other at 7,595 MT.
