Spain's Field Pea Imports Start With Strong Tone
PANAMA - Mar 20/23 - SNS -- Imports of field peas for Spain advanced relative to the previous month in January, official trade data from Eurostat reports.
Imports for the opening month of the calendar year totalled 4,882 metric tons (MT), up 18% from 4,128 MT the previous month. The statistics revealed imports is up 763% from the 566 MT reported during the same month last year.
For the month, Latvia was the number one exporter, supplying 3,806 MT. France was the second most important shipper selling 699 MT, followed by Canada at 331 MT.
