Field Pea Exports From France Open On Soft Note
PANAMA - Mar 20/23 - SNS -- Export shipments of field peas for France shrank compared to the previous month in January, official data from Eurostat shows.
Movement for the opening month of the calendar year totalled 1,170 metric tons (MT), down 85% from 7,572 MT the previous month. The data showed shipments was down 92% from the 15,081 MT reported in the same month last year.
For the month, Switzerland was the top consumer, receiving 1,064 MT. South Africa was the second most important buyer receiving 105 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 1 MT.
