Field Pea Exports From Canada Manage Easy Month
PANAMA - Mar 8/23 - SNS -- Shipments of field peas for Canada dropped relative to the previous month in January, the latest data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Movement during the first month of the marketing year totalled 168,161 metric tons (MT), down 13% from 193,603 MT the previous month. The data revealed movement is up 36% from the 1,043,734 MT reported for the same month last year.
For the month, China was the number one consumer, buying 52,748 MT. Pakistan was the second most important consumer taking 40,395 MT, followed by United States at 32,917 MT.
