Lentil Exports From Canada Manage Easy Opening

PANAMA - Mar 8/23 - SNS -- Are starting the current marketing year recordeda weaker performance, with lentil movement for Canada posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month in January, judging from official statistics from Statistics Canada.

The most recent statistics showed export sales during the month totalled 158,336 metric tons (MT), down 32% from 232,783 the previous month. Versus the same month last year, exports were up 47% from 838,956 MT.

The latest movement statistics showed Turkey was most important importer, buying 75,287 MT. India was the second most important importer taking 21,040 MT, followed by Egypt at 11,460 MT.
