PANAMA - Mar 8/23 - SNS -- Canada's movement of yellow peas during January sank versus the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Exports for the first month of the marketing year totalled 70,317 metric tons (MT), down 51% from 144,378 MT the previous month. The statistics revealed export sales was up 22% from the 745,825 MT reported in the same month last year.
The largest importer throughout the month was Pakistan, receiving 40,395 MT. United States was the second most important consumer receiving 11,107 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 10,000 MT.
