Field Pea Exports From Turkey Post Soft Performance
PANAMA - Mar 1/23 - SNS -- Turkey's shipments of field peas in December were slightly lower, falling versus the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Shipments reached 45,003 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 12% from the 51,175 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 430,779 MT, compared to 139,106 during the previous calendar year.
The number one consumer throughout the month was Iraq, receiving 33,747 MT. Yemen was the second most important importer receiving 5,000 MT, followed by Kenya at 3,000 MT.
