Field Pea Imports By Italy Maintain Weak Trend
PANAMA - Feb 21/23 - SNS -- Imports of field peas by Italy shrank versus the previous month in December, the most recent data from Eurostat reports.
Imports during the month reached 3,869 metric tons (MT), down from 11,248 MT the prior month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 155,356, down 29% last year.
Current trade statistics showed Russia was number one shipper, supplying 3,219 MT during the month. Canada was the second most important export origin supplying 603 MT, followed by Ukraine at 45 MT.
