Yellow Pea Exports From Canada Continue Firm Performance
PANAMA - Feb 7/23 - SNS -- At this point in the marketing year are keeping up their stronger tone, with yellow pea movement for Canada showed modest gains, advancing relative to the previous month in December, according to statistics from Statistics Canada.
Movement for the month reached 144,378 metric tons (MT), up from 133,705 MT the prior month. This lifted export sales so far during the marketing year to 842,782, up 14% last year.
The most recent trade statistics showed China was biggest importer, receiving 79,154 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important destination taking 42,409 MT, followed by Pakistan at 13,200 MT.
