Red Lentil Exports From Canada Continue Strong Tone
PANAMA - Jan 5/23 - SNS -- At this point in the marketing year are keeping up their stronger performance, with red lentil movement from Canada leapt compared to the previous month in November, judging from the latest data from Statistics Canada.
Total movement throughout the month reached 212,640 metric tons (MT), up 154% from the previous month's total of 83,708. So far shipments have amounted to 564,347 MT, up from 412,406 during the last marketing year.
The latest trade statistics revealed Other was most important destination, receiving 75,358 MT. India was the second most important buyer buying 67,678 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 32,874 MT.
