Light Trade Keeps Chickpeas In Trend
PANAMA - Dec 16/22 - SNS -- Chickpea markets were largely unchanged in relatively light trading activity during the past week.
Attention continues to paid to the pace of rabi seeding progress in India, with seeding of all classes of chickpeas on pace to approach 12 million hectares, up from 11.64 million last year.
The split between desi and kabuli types if not known, though production appears to be on an upward trend because of strong movement from farms and relatively strong returns to growers.
