Chickpeas Unchanged To Firmer
PANAMA - Oct 28/22 - SNS -- Chickpea markets remained mostly unchanged for kabuli types, though modest strength was seen in desi markets as exporters work to accumulate stocks to cover short term shipping commitments.
North American markets remain firm, helped by doubts over actual production levels in both the United States and Canada.
Provincial yield estimates in Canada suggest production could end up closer to 110,400 metric tons (MT), well below Statistics Canada September estimate of almost 157,000, compared to around 82,300 last year.
