Spain's Field Pea Imports Reveal Improved Performance
PANAMA - Jul 20/22 - SNS -- Imports of field peas by Spain made major advances, moving upward relative to the previous month in May, official data from Eurostat reveals.
Total imports in the month reached 891 metric tons (MT), up 59% from the previous month's total of 559. So far imports have totalled 8,729 MT, down from 41,556 in the same period the previous calendar year.
The biggest exporter throughout the month was France, shipping 708 MT. Argentina was the second most important supplier selling 93 MT, followed by Canada at 76 MT.
