Green Pea Exports From Canada Start With Weak Tendency
PANAMA - Mar 5/21 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of green peas during January were little changed, dropping compared to the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Shipments during the opening month of the marketing year totalled 16,056 metric tons (MT), down 13% from 18,559 MT the previous month. The statistics showed shipments is down 26% from the 156,783 MT recorded for the same month last year.
The biggest buyer during the month was China, taking 5,464 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important consumer buying 2,859 MT, followed by Colombia at 1,429 MT.
