Field Pea Exports From Canada Continue Strong Trend
PANAMA - Nov 4/20 - SNS -- Exports of field peas from Canada recorded huge improvement, soaring relative to the previous month in September, data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Export sales for the month totalled 763,951 metric tons (MT), up from 127,488 MT the previous month. This lifted export sales so far during the marketing year to 891,439, up 33% last year.
China was the biggest destination, taking 657,111 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important buyer taking 50,445 MT, followed by Cuba at 22,000 MT.
