Yellow Pea Exports From Canada Maintain Solid Performance
PANAMA - Nov 4/20 - SNS -- Movement of yellow peas from Canada were up sharply, jumping relative to the previous month in September, the latest data from Statistics Canada shows.
Export sales for the month reached 722,040 metric tons (MT), up from 85,744 MT the previous month. This boosted exports so far during the marketing year to 807,784, up 34% last year.
The number one destination for the month was China, buying 645,035 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important consumer buying 50,341 MT, followed by Cuba at 22,000 MT.
