French Exports Leap in April
PARIS - Jun 12/20 - SNS -- French field pea export volumes almost doubled in April, according to data from Eurostat and Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 32.961 metric tons (MT), up 86% the 15,510 MT shipped the previous month, and up 23% from the 14,775 MT shipped the same month last year.
This lifted season to date export shipments to 213,210 MT, up 23% from the 173,445 MT shipped during the same period last season. So far this marketing year, European Union destinations accounted for 93.9% of all pea exports, compared to 98.1% last season.
