Green Pea Exports From Canada Maintain Strong Performance
PANAMA - Jun 4/20 - SNS -- Movement of green peas from Canada showed modest gains, advancing relative to the previous month in April, official trade data from Statistics Canada reports.
Exports for the month reached 33,745 metric tons (MT), up from 28,588 MT the prior month. This boosted shipments so far during the marketing year to 248,800, up 4% last year.
During the month, China was the biggest importer, buying 11,548 MT. Nepal was the second most important consumer receiving 5,302 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 3,937 MT.
