Field Pea Imports By India Reveal Weak Performance
PANAMA - Apr 13/20 - SNS -- Imports of field peas for India shrank compared to the previous month in December, official trade data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics shows.
Total imports in the month amounted to 2,083 metric tons (MT), down 98% from the previous month's total of 92,852. So far imports have totalled 868,031 MT, up from 841,329 during the last calendar year.
Russia was the most important exporter, supplying 908 MT. Canada was the second most important shipper shipping 558 MT, followed by Ukraine at 381 MT.
