Canada's Yellow Pea Exports Reveal Slow Performance
PANAMA - Jan 7/20 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of yellow peas in November fell compared to the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Export sales for the month reached 252,351 metric tons (MT), down from 323,292 MT the prior month. This increased movement so far during the marketing year to 1,177,068, up 30% last year.
China was the most important buyer for the month, taking 196,982 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important destination buying 23,580 MT, followed by Nepal at 15,888 MT.
