Soybean Imports By Germany Start On Firm Tone

PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year on their a firmer tendency, with soybean imports by Germany showed modest gains, advancing compared to the previous month in February, judging from recent statistics from Eurostat.

Imports totalled 324,954 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 7% from the 304,247 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 629,201 MT, compared to 617,049 during the last calendar year.

Recent trade data revealed United States was number one exporter, selling 202,214 MT in the month. Netherlands was the second most important export origin selling 88,578 MT, followed by Ukraine at 8,427 MT.
