Soybean Imports By Spain Record Soft Opening

PANAMA - Mar 20/19 - SNS -- Opened the calendar year recordeda weaker performance, with soybean imports by Spain were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month in January, according to statistics from Eurostat.

The updated statistics showed imports for the month totalled 259,972 metric tons (MT), down 5% from 273,875 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, imports were up 7% from 242,470 MT.

United States was the largest shipper during the month, shipping 243,285 MT. Ukraine was the second most important export origin supplying 14,143 MT, followed by Togo at 1,699 MT.
